This innovative and powerful film presents the artwork of women who explore, cope with, and resolve struggles with body image, anorexia, bulimia, and compulsive eating. Individual stories are told through art and personal narration by women who are healing their bodies.
The viewer will witness how art is used to give voice to the unspoken pain, struggles and sometimes resolution intrinsic to eating disorders and body image.
Art therapy taps into the core of my being, allowing a visual display of my soul. It gently touches the deepest and darkest emotions within me... I have given myself permission to feel every emotion, to experience it within my body with a new appreciation.
